Regulating AI at work: What’s next?

  • Committee Room 1, House of Commons London, England, SW1A 0AA United Kingdom (map)

The regulation of artificial intelligence (AI) at work is in the spotlight. Research shows that AI can improve or diminish the dimensions of "good work", from access, conditions and work quality.

Join this APPG on the Future of Work session to explore the role of the UK's regulators, the Centre for Data Ethics and Innovation (CDEI) and new AI Standards Hub to promote future good work as part of building a responsible AI ecosystem. During the event, expert speakers will explore some of the following questions:

  1. What policy or other levers are currently available to promote good work?

  2. What are the top priorities in terms of directing AI and related technologies to promote good work?

  3. How can existing and planned activities aimed at the promotion of good work inform development of the UK’s AI Strategy?

Chair:
Jim Knight, Lord Knight of Weymouth

Speakers:

  • Felicity Birch, Executive Director, Centre for Data Ethics and Innovation (CDEI)

  • Rebecca Thomas, Head of Employment Policy, Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC)
