AGM and APPG news for 2024

On the 17th of January, the APPG on the Future of Work held its AGM in Committee Room G of the House of Lords. This was an energetic and well-attended meeting, compliant with the forthcoming rules on quorate numbers of parliamentarians and supported by IFOW, who act as Secretariat and Strategic Research Partner. The minutes can be found here.

The new rules around APPGs coming into force in April have precipitated some welcome reflection about the function and collaborations between All Party Groups, including our own membership model and the nature of events. The All Party Group on the Future of Work aims to consult more widely with members to build from our thriving network to serve the needs of our members, reflect growing interest in the subject and maximise opportunities to work more closely with others.

More on the details very shortly, but we are looking to hold our next two events on Weds 13th March and Weds 17th April, both at 4pm (tbc). These will be the last two sessions of the UK Future of Work Review and we will be inviting members for submissions of evidence for the written report of that in March.
